Suir (River) English river
A famous trout river in Tipperary, Ireland. River Suir is said to be a most excellent chalk stream in Ireland especially for brown trout fishing. Because aquatic insects are abundant in the river, dry fly fishing is the main method of fishing there. Many anglers from foreign countries visit the river. The best fishing season is May to June. The fishing fee is about half of that charged on the famous chalk streams of Britain.
Fishing will be possible by staying the following hotels: Knocklofty House, Hotel at Clonmel, Hayes Hotel and The Square, Thurles and Co. Tipperary, Ardmayle House, Cashel, Co. Tipperary,
