fuzzy English
"Fuzzy" here means fluffy, ragged, and hazy. Fishing itself has many inherent fuzzy elements, and fly fishing may have more such elements. For example, in reference to fly patterns, we have simple and fuzzy flies, and they may catch more fish than the real imitation of a trout's food. Isn't the CDC that expresses this fuzziness best?
Polly Rosborough theorized about the fuzziness in fly tying in his book "Tying and Fishing the Fuzzy Nymphs" (1965). He tied outstanding flies, and his patterns are called a fuzzy nymphs.
